This day marks the occasion of when Prince Siddhartha visited his father’s kingdom as Lord Buddha, post enlightenment. Prince Siddhartha left home and went on search for Nirvana. His father sent many messengers to bring back Siddhartha but every messenger became a follower. The last messenger Kaludai, though became a monk, somehow convinced the Buddha to visit his homeland.
